MCMASTER+ is a service of McMaster University's Health Information Research Unit. It incorporates the McMaster PLUSTM searchable database of best evidence from the health care literature of particular interest to physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals.

You can access the database through one of the following services:

Service Description
ACCESSSS This free service searches the McMaster PLUSTM database, evidence-based texts, and PubMed to find the current best evidence to support clinical decisions and present it in levels according to the Evidence-Based HealthCare Pyramid. Free email notification about newly published evidence fitting with the user's interest is provided.
EvidenceAlerts This free Internet service notifies physicians and researchers about newly published clinical studies. Articles are pre-appraised for quality by the McMaster Health Information Research Unit (McMaster PLUSTM database) and links are provided to ratings by practicing clinicians as well as to DynaMed® topics. Email alerts can be curated to fit with the user's interest.
CLOT+ This site provides a searchable continuously updated repository of the current best evidence on Thrombosis Medicine curated from the McMaster PLUSTM database. Evidence Summaries of selected articles written in lay language for patients and the general public are available.
EmergencyCare+ This site provides a continuously updated repository of the current best evidence on Emergency Medicine curated from the McMaster PLUSTM database to support evidence-based clinical decisions.
KT+
This site provides access to the current evidence on "T2" knowledge translation (i.e., research addressing the knowledge-to-practice gap), including published original articles and systematic reviews on healthcare quality improvement, continuing professional education, computerized clinical decision support, health services research, and patient adherence.
PAIN+ CPN This site provides a searchable continuously updated repository of the current best evidence on Pain Medicine curated from the McMaster PLUSTM database. Evidence Summaries of selected articles written in lay language for patients and the general public are available.
PREVENTION+ This site provides a searchable continuously updated repository of the current best evidence on Preventive Medicine curated from the McMaster PLUSTM database.
